There are many good drive sims like NFSU that may support multi-player

but require connection to their game server.

I am looking for ones that allows you to connect to your friends via IP or allows

you to host your own server and have other people connect to you. I know games

like Age of Empires have that option, but I don't know any drive sims that does

the same.

If anyone knows of any please let me know!

Thanks. B)

Uhm.. You can host your own LAN using NFSU2...

Just setup your gateway through TCP/IP settings to your IP address... and then setup your server... then to get other computers connected to that server, they have to put in your IP address in the gateway field :)

Is there a guide somewhere online to teach you to do that? because there are many

games that supports LAN only.. so this method may work. I am a network dummy

and have no idea how this could be done.

I have only the original NFSU.

Live For Speed looks great, I think I may have tried the demo before..

What is "S2" ??

pretty much every single game i have ever played allows u to play over a local lan if the game allows online play, like it was said before u need to use tci/ip, to do this

1. open network connections, right click ur connection, clik properties

2. click install, click protocol, and install microsoft tcp/ip version 6

that sets up windows to allow u to do local games, now all u have to do in the game is select to play it either through local or tcp/ip

I know most games support local lan.. say if your home has 3 or 4 PCs. But the

other PC other than the one I use are old and too slow for most games.

Other than that I like to play multi-player with friends so I need to figure out

a way to connect with them.

I guess my question is that is it possible to emulate a local lan over the internet

for games that only supports lan and not tcp/ip?
