ODC Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 I'm working on a friends 98SE installation, and I've managed to clean up all the freaking problems except for this one. Mprexe caused an invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.DLL at 0167:bff7a4b2.Nothing I try can get rid of this. I've attempted all the suggestions from a google search such as taking everything out of startup via msconfig, and re-installing IE, but this problem persists. Suggestions besides reformat are very welcomed!

erpdude8 Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 There's a patch for this problem but it only resolves the Mprexe page fault problem only if your Win98 FE or Win95 computer is connected to a Novell network.See MS kb article 192249 for the patch:http://support.microsoft.com/?id=192249this problem doesn't affect Win98 SE & WinME users. If the patch doesn't fix the problem then look at MS kb article 178084 for other solutions.
