how to set default action for folders?

somehow, whenever i double click on a folder, it opens a cmd shell window to that folder instead of opening the folder itself

how would i change it back to the way it was

I think he meant, in regedit:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Folder\shell\explore\command
