Sites Unavailable [4th Jan]

Hey guys, just wondering if anyone else is having problems reaching some sites today.(including MSFN)

I'm getting a lot of "page cannot be displayed" DNS errors.Don't know if its just my ISP. :)

I have been checking MSFN periodically all day ... No problems at all ... :)

MSFN and all other tech sites have loaded fine all day today.

Most likely your ISP's DNS

No problems here, had a slow DNS lookup during the last week or so though.

No problems over here in MTL :) ! Try disconnecting and connecting your modem over and over again or contact your ISP...

I have experienced no errors at all with MSFN or Techzonez. Everything loads fast on my end. I have even connected to TZ when other people in other threads said they could not.

Maybe its MSFN's server? :) But if its causing problems for some people, then it should be causing problems for others as well...

i have had major problems about 16 hours ago

alot of places i went to had page not find, site not found etc....

i thought i had an ad-server on my system or a virus but it came up fruitless,

this is really annoying

i guess if its happening elsewhere, it must be a global problem hehe

hope you all had fun this year!

cheers'

I think it your guys' isp.. I'm on Bellsouth ADSL.. and never had any slow downs or probs @ MSFN.. And I'm even running my ftp server and its still fast :)

I think its more than likely routing problems, rather than specifically an ISP fault.

I know all this week, anything going through the clara.net,NTL and Telehouse networks has been affected.

And my ISP hasn't reported any DNS problems.

Xper,if you are having problems getting on TZ,it might be because there are still remnants of the DDos attack last week trying to filter through. My hosts have had to temporarily block some IP ranges until the ISP's can track down the sources, and block things more accurately.

I think its more than likely routing problems, rather than specifically an ISP fault.

Thats the problem all over the world. Not MSFN server, btw MSFN is on 100Mbit line with other 2 sites (10 visitors per day).

Europian backbone is screwed too since bigest backbone provider (Holland, i think) in Europe left.
