HighterDK Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 When you press the start button, above "My computer" there are a number of folders that begin with "my", such as "My documents" and "My images". What I'd like to how is how to add new folders here, such as "My Games", "My Programs", etc.If possible, could you also tell me were do I find, and how do I set special images to these folders like the default "my" folders?
bullet Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 Right-click on the start button and click open. In the window that opens is where you put all of the folders you want in your start menu. Once they are there you can right click, go to properties, and then the customize tab. Once there click the change icon button and choose any icon that you would like.
HighterDK Posted May 30, 2005 Author Posted May 30, 2005 Changing the folder icons works fine, but instead of it being displayed above "My Computer" it is being display in "Show all Programs", below "Windows Update".
D.Celt Posted May 30, 2005 Posted May 30, 2005 I don't think it's possible to do what you're suggesting without a third party skinning application. Right click the start button and select properties > customize > advanced for options on changing the look of the start menu panel.
HighterDK Posted May 30, 2005 Author Posted May 30, 2005 I tought that might be possible since you can remove the other folders from display. Well, thanks for the tip anyway, if anyone find out how to do it, please post it here.
