How can I rebuild the start programs group?

My friend was attempting to create a default profile for all users. Apparently he did something and now the Programs folder group is blank, there's nothing there.

Is there a way to rebuild it without having to reinstall XP?

try to get links form another windows xp .... copy all from C:\Documents and Settings\All User\Start Menu\ into your windows xp ...

First do a search for "*.lnk" and see if you can find them. They may just need to be moved from the original users profile to the new one.
