June 2, 200521 yr No still stuck on comcast but I have noticed they are running fiber in our area. South Jersey is scheduled to be setup the end of the 3rd quarter. an I can't wait tho.

June 4, 200521 yr Author The cable company and the leesburg cable comission have filed beacuse, these lines can carry some kind of brodcasting like staelite so, they are trying to get money. Verizon will probably settle with a contract.
April 18, 200719 yr Bring up an old thread but I just got Verizon FIOS this past Saturday. Nice speed, 20mb d/5up. A lot better then Cable and awsome speeds. Anyone else in the states get it yet?
April 19, 200719 yr VTel, based in Springfield, Vermont possibly is the king daddy of Vermont ISPs. Last year, AFAIK, they had an advertisement of 24Mbit! That's with DSL. In the same house I'm in, can easily get 4 MBit, if not more! But when I tested it back on February 20, 2007, I appeared to possibly been going at 24 MBit! On a Windows 2000 PC that was being worked on, Internet Explorer 6 downloaded at least nearly as fast as the HDD transfer rate!
