gigabitfx Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 i have a drive running out of space. It is running an archaic service that does not allow me to change its logging path to a unc path. i need to be able to map this local folder called "calls" to a network path. are there built in methods, or free utils that would do it. i could always map a drive to a network path, but i would need the profile to be logged in always which isnt to convienient.there is folder redirection which is what im looking for, but its only for the special/certain folders that im aware of.
jaclaz Posted May 23, 2005 Posted May 23, 2005 Cannot say if they apply to your case, but you can try the following:http://www.hhdsoftware.com/ntsubst.htmlhttp://windowsxp.mvps.org/folderredirector.htmOr the built in redirection, (but you will need Active Directory and Group Policies):http://www.windowsdevcenter.com/pub/a/wind...r_redirect.htmlhttp://www.windowsitpro.com/Windows/Articl...0080/20080.htmljaclaz
