raskren Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 You also need a motherboard with a capable BIOS as well as a fully 64-bit OS. 4+ GB of physical RAM helps too. Don't expect to find Windows Xp X64 on retail shelves any time soon (OEM only so far).

I have more preliminary information: I do have a AMD64 processor (obviously a 64bit mobo as well). I only have 1 GB of RAM though... I want to know if all my hardware drivers have the equivalent 64bit drivers available. Does Microsoft have anything that will check my computer and let me know that I'm 'good to go'???? B) They used to have something that would check your machine and let you know if your computer was XP compatible... I want something like that for WIN64....
