erik_demon
Hey The problem has nothing to do with your winnt.sif When during setup does this happen? Is it a T=13?If this is the case, then I guesse you are trying to install Media player 10 from within svcpack.infIf this is the case, you are using the wrong switch. Could you tell me a bit a more?Have you slipstreamed Windows mediaplay 10? (and if so, how)?EDIT:Welcome to MSFN.ORG!! Rik99
The script from Bâshrat the Sneaky does'nt works I have tried it many times on all my differents drives and always in the same folder here is the proof....I have Slipstream SP2 and all the fixes that you can see on this linkaideinfonote that I have slipstreamed al the ones that show SlipstreamableThe first unattended CD I have made, I have unzip with winrar all the files from MP10Setup.exe in my I386 folder and change my hive fileEverything was running cool except that hanging window as you seenmy first post. Then I restart a new fresh installation without integrating any files from WinMedia10.Always the same problem. What I would like first is getting rid of that window media player wich i never useand by the same time getting rid of that window wich stop the installation.I have just starting to tried gunsmokingman's link and there are a few thingsthat are not clear for me as I don't have any SvcPack.inf in my I386 folderonly a compressed file SvcPack.in_ , but I do have a svcpack folder and also I don't have any program to make .sfx file from the 132 extracted files from MP10Setup.exefile.I have search many days to find an answer, all I have find is concerning WMP9 and not WMP10 and I would say nothing very clear for me a newbieTKS
gunsmokingman
Svcpack.inf = Svcpack.in_ That is the compressed version 1:\ Goto where you have xp cd on your harddrive2:\ Open Cmd promt in the XP CD 3:\ Paste This In The Cmd Promt Window EXPAND YOURHARDDRIVE\XPCD\i386\SvcPack.in_ This will now leave in the i386 Folder Svcpack.inf
Alanoll
"MP10Setup.exe /Q:A /R:N /c:""setup_wm.exe /Q /R:N /NoPID /DisallowSystemRestore"""Should work in SVCPACK.INF. If you're using it elsewhereMP10Setup.exe /Q:A /R:N /c:"setup_wm.exe /Q /R:N /NoPID /DisallowSystemRestore"P.S. Rik99
erik_demonI confirm that it happens with 13 minutes left before the end of the installation and I presume this is why you are calling that T-

erik_demon
Hey Rik99,Sorry for my late response Then I restart a new fresh installation without integrating any files from WinMedia10.Always the same problem. This is very odd. Mediaplayer 10 isn't included in XP SP2 by default. It think that one of the updates you used is the problem.I would recommand the following:Rebuild your XP cd again from scatch. Don't slipstream mediaplayer 10 and don't slipstream any updates that concern the mediaplayer. Then install mediaplayer 10 + updates via RunOnceEXMP10Setup.exe /q:A /c:\"setup_wm.exe /Q /R:N /DisallowSystemRestore\"I know this isn't really the perfect answer to your problem, but it is the best I can think of (I do it this way for now)
