nujackk Posted April 17, 2005 Posted April 17, 2005 I was wondering since the nforce drivers install is an installshield, can I create the setup.iss file, and then just run the silent install at t39 via Detachedprogram in the winnt.sif? I realize i can't be the only one to have thought of it but so far have not found any mention of it.
Bâshrat the Sneaky Posted April 17, 2005 Posted April 17, 2005 Why would you want to do that? Then the nVidia nForce drivers would get installed on ALL systems... It's easier to simply install them using the OemPnPDriversPath in your winnt.sif
nujackk Posted April 17, 2005 Author Posted April 17, 2005 Well I am only making this disk for my system. So that would be fine. The main reason I asked is because so many people seem to have a problem getting them to install Properly via the OemPnPDriversPath. And i figured as long as it will run. it would install everything you needed correctly. So still the question remains can it be done? @Bashrat I do appreciate all you've done with the driver packs, but my goal is a custom disk. so no need for all those drivers.
Bâshrat the Sneaky Posted April 18, 2005 Posted April 18, 2005 I'm not saying that you should use my DriverPacks... not at all...I've NEVER heard of ANY problems with this method, when you're using the nForce drivers :blink... It really works just fine. In fact, it's even easier than a silent installation. Please note that it won't work from DetachedProgram (T-39), because the InstallShield Setup needs a complete Windows to get installed...
nujackk Posted April 21, 2005 Author Posted April 21, 2005 Sorry it took me so long to reply, but thank you, thats what i needed to know. (And I was just saying thats the only reason i wasn't using yor driver pack. You don't need to suggest it, its the obvous choice if you are making a disk that could be used on more then 1 setup. Keep up the great work )
buletov Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 bâshrat is right, absolutely no problems with nvidia and OemPnPDriversPath method...
