Lock Down Browser

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a workstation running XP Pro, connected to an DSL Router ( No Domain Invoved). What I need to do is create a user, and for this user disable web browsing from IE & Explorer. The user still needs FTP and Lan access( so false DNS Setting are not an option.) Ive Looked at Group Policy but this effects all users.

Thanks in Advance.

Specify a bogus proxy server. Use a policy to disable access to Internet Options > Connections (tab)

Add the user to iexplore.exe's security panel & set a deny permission for read & execute. Not sure if that'll work, but it's worth a try i think.
