gui_m Posted April 3, 2005 Posted April 3, 2005 Hello! I have a network set-up with a workgroup. I would like to access the shares of another PC using a user account name and password from the PC i'm trying to access. I did this once before (unintentionally ) but I can't do it again... probably simple but I just don't know how. Thanks
epic Posted April 3, 2005 Posted April 3, 2005 Hmm, maybe they caught on to what you were doing and changed there password.
gui_m Posted April 3, 2005 Author Posted April 3, 2005 nope i wasn't caught... it's my PC! I just don't now how i actually managed to log-on (the user name and pass screen doesn't usually appear when I type \\PCNAME, but once it did!!)

epic Posted April 3, 2005 Posted April 3, 2005 yes... cause i want to access with a different user account so that i have more permissions...<{POST_SNAPBACK}>To get the dialog to come back clear out your saved passwords under Internet Options. If you want to logon with alternate credentials do not select save user/pass.
