Can anyone recommend a best "bang for the buck" scanner?

Id dont want to spend a ton of money on it as I am only going to use it to scan documents and the occasional photo or drawing.

Thanks

I'd look for the best native resolution for the dollar.

(not interpolated resolution=software enhanced scanning.)

Go with the big boys, HP, Cannon, Microtek, etc.

I say that because you can usually go online & order directly from them,

and get a better deal then from a brick & morter retail store.

They will also have the more mature drivers & technology.

Hope that helped.

I really like the All-In-One Printers HP makes.

I find it to be a good balance between price, user frendliness, and function.

They can be aquired very cheap after MIR or eBay.

@TWILL: I just saw this post today. I have the LiDE 20 and I really like it. I use it scan homework assigments incase my profs lose it :D. It can keep the dpi fiarly low and still maintain really good quality.

Have fun
