rlh1981
HP PSC 1600 on Windows 2003 ServerInstalled a HP PSC 1600 on a USB printserver, could not get the drivers to install on a remote 2003 server. So i found that the old DESKJET 600 drivers worked for printing in colour and HP DESKJET drivers worked for Black an White. Prob not much use to other people as we have a funny setup. chyronn
ok, i know this is a really old topic, but it tries to address some of my problems. but i still can't get my printer to work. like some posters on here, i have an HP all-in-one which requires it to be in the USB when installing the drivers. however since i've added a printer server i can't get the **** wizard to recognise it's on the network. i get the generic drivers that come with XP but not my one. i've tried have disk but it never lists the driver that should be on the disk itself.this is how far i've got: i can manually configure the port so it's a standard TCP/IP port under the ports tab of the printer properties, but under advanced, i cannot change the driver to the correct one; it gives me the list again. i've looked on the HP website and there's a thing called the network assistant which wasn't working for mei can't find the .inf file for the driver, it's simply not listing itany help please?
