Incroyable HULK
So, I've been reading a lot of topics about Creative Suite. If there is one thing I really find annoying is having to go thru a lot of topic to finally get some informations so here is my contribution:1- It doesn't seems possible to install the whole suite from one single point. Even if I could, I prefer having control over each application individually.2- All you have to do, is to provide the following information under the OEM Section in the Abcpy.ini file located in the folder of each applications (not for Acrobat):;*************************************************;OEM Section;*************************************************[OEM Install]DisableOnlineReg=YESDisplayWelcomeDlg=NODisplayEULA=NODisplayXPDialog=NODisplayTypeOfInstallDlg=NODisplaySelectDestDirDlg=NODisplayCustomDlg=NODisplayUserInfoDlg=NODisplayConfirmRegDlg=NODisplayStartCopyDlg=NODisplayFinishDlg=NODisplayFinalMessage=NODisplayRebootDlg=NOAllowMaintenanceMode=YESProgGroupName=DefaultDestDir=FName=CelineLName=DionMI=UserCompanyName=Tasteless Music Co.UserSerialNumber=111122223333444455556666DisplayBackGround=NODisplayProgressBar=NOProgressBarStart=NOProgressBarEnd=NOREMAINING BUGS:Photoshop CS-noneIndesign CS1- Halt message at the beginning of installation (Close all Adobe Applications Bla Bla Bla...):Illustrator CS1- Halt Message at the beginning of installation (Close all Adobe Applications Bla Bla Bla...):GoLive CS1- Halt at the beginning of installation (Close all Adobe Applications Bla Bla Bla...):2- Halt for QuickTime installation at the endAcrobatFollow this thread here: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=35147Please share your solutions to resolve the remaining issuesBTW, thank's to ADOBE for such a mess
Incroyable HULK
There is an alternative I have been exploring. You can use a setup.iss answer file with the InstallShield installer. BUT there is one big issue in my case: it doesn't support the use of a system variable such as %programfiles% (and it doesn't support the omition of this entry). In the setup.iss file, I have to specify a full path for the installation directory:[{EFB21DE7-8C19-4A88-BB28-A766E16493BC}-SdAskDestPath-0]szDir=D:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop CSResult=1And the problem is that in some case the Program File is located on the D:\ drive and sometimes on the C:\ drives. So I have done 2 setup.iss files; one for each drive and I am using the following command to install with RunOnceEx:REG ADD %KEY%\001 /V 1 /D "\"%CDROM%\Adobe Photoshop CS\setup.exe\" -s -f1\"%CDROM%\Adobe Photoshop CS\setupd.iss\" -f2\"%systemdrive%\test.log\"" /fThis command works perfectly but I would like to put a condition to check IF %ProgramFiles%="D:\Program Files"GOTO line XELSEGOTO line YCan someone help me with this condition in my RunOnceEx Batch file
PryGuy
Thanks for sharing this tip! And what do I do with the Activation dialogue which appears right after the Photoshop CS installation?
galvanocentric
I can't even get through making the setup.iss file as towards the beginning setup fails with an "access denied" error for the Asian PDF Font Support. Thanks though, I may just have to restart.
