I reformatted my laptop as soon as I got it and reloaded with Pro. Dunno then. XP Home has terrible networking fuctioniality. There is nothing under Control Panel --> Administrative Tools? That blows. Try running MMC from the command prompt and adding that module. I think you can add a few snap-ins in XP Home but not all. The user manager snap-in doesn't work I know but the Group Policies may... not sure.
KAndle Posted March 31, 2005 Posted March 31, 2005 Does netsh work?You could run 'netsh diag gui' form the command prompt and let it run though and see if there are errors. It's informative if nothing else.I think you might just want to assign passwords though.
