Is There A Software For Pinning Icons On Desktop?

hi there

my desktop is pretty crowded and i'm looking for ways to pin certain icons to certain areas of the desktop

sometimes i delete a file and i click on arrange by type/name/etc and all of them gets sorted. i only want the non-pinned items to be sorted.

if not, can this be done via active desktop? like i could partition the desktop into frames and use them to show icons from certain folders, but i think i've tried that once and when i click on an exe, it want to save it instead of opening it, and it was long time ago, i still don't know how to get over that problem

does anyone have a software like this || can they help me write the code for the active desktop html? thanks

Have you checked out AveDesk?Not sure if thats what you want though
