i finally think i have my comp figured out, expecially since i got a whole lot more $, sumwere from 2300-2500$ so plz give ne suggestions on the comp.

If u dont mind how old are u exactly?

You hv been told by bart, punto, and several others how to search for

relevant information on the net. In addition, u hv already flooded the

hardware forum with each and every component u want to or thinking of

purchasing. And your at it again.

How hard is it to look at tech sites like cnet, or technet to fine out what

are the top 10 hardware in each category u are going to buy? Those

site run dozens of test to see the performance, advantages, and disadvantages.

Pls stop trying to flood the forum and rasing your post count

Make sure the video card is a PCI-Express unit and swap the memory for Corsair or OCZ and it looks good.......I'd get more Harddrives though.....add a 250 and set up a RAID Array

it is pci-e, what sucks is that for the 6800gt's the pci-e are 100$ more than the agp. ill look into the ram some more and for the hdd's, the 250 is plenty for me for now, i dunno where i would be going with 500gig, thx

Euhmm, why not 2* 120GB or 160GB ATA 100 drives and put them in RAID?

Nice, but for that price you can almost buy 2* 6600 cards in SLI . The XFX cards are one of the worst cards you can find, I know that they are 10% cheaper but still. Go for a ASUS or so...

EDIT: WHAT? PCI-E is more expensive then a AGP card? What the ... AGP sould be mor expensive because of the PCI-E to AGP bridge chip... Are you sure?

in the phil pci-e is more expensive than agp cards.

if u look on newegg the 6800 pci-e is about 100$ more than the agp and, probabaly b/c there are not too many pci-e cards out compared to agp

and astalavista, nice guide for unattended install, i just read and it makes stuff easier to understand

well i found some nice WD hdd's and would it be better for me to get 2 180's and then should i use raid 0 or 1? or should i get 3 80's and use raid 5 (my mobo dont support 3)?

does ne1 have some benchmarks or sumtin to support raid b/c i have searched goolge and ppl say there isnt that much of a performance increase

Same here in Mexico, but that´s bc they are "new" ( wow! )

3rd or 2nd world sux when it comes to new and good hardware .

@ Ripken,

Let me find some info, but your not right when you are saying that there are more AGP cards out then PCI-E when it comes to the last generations... be right back on that....

Why not this one? Okay, the prices are higher for the 6800 cards bc they are designed for AGP 8x.

The 6600 is designed for PCI-E, those ones are cheaper then the AGP8x cards.
