Do i need to change the motherboard bus speed for the new pentium or can i use the old bus speed settings for the new pentium

Okay, you are upgrading from a PII 450MHz to a PIII 650MHz.

Both are 100MHz FSB.

Are both CPUs Slot 1? Are you using the same mobo?

Both are 100mhz and are slot 1

and i am upgrading to a P2 400mhz to a P3 650mhz

The main reason why i am wondering,is after looking at the mobo book,they said that each processor has its own bus speed and i need to change it according to the processor

I dont know,off hand,but i think both P's are both 600E

I know the Pentium 3 is a 600E,i forgot what the P2 is,but i am pretty sure it s a 600e
