matrix0978 Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 Ok well i have to ethernet adapter.... My motherboard one... and then i got another one because my old motherboard's did work... But what would happen if i connection 2 different connections into each one? Like connection one DSL line to one and a Cable line to the other?
Looneyboy784 Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 simple answer you would get a connection from both and could transfer data from both im not sur how well it would work though. i doubt you coud ge the combined bandwith on one download. i'm not evensure windows would handle which one you use. but even if you and to manualy configure eachtime you wanted to use both yes. I get this off of my expirance at lan party where we had a 40 port switch(dont ask or ill stab you in the face with a sodering iron) and about 16 people there lots of people pluged in twice and it actually helped though im not sure how much. id like to see how well that would work i may try that with a few of my neighbors wifi networks but i will have to buy a few mor wifi cards
matrix0978 Posted February 17, 2005 Author Posted February 17, 2005 Lol yeah i think i might try it in a little bit.... ill tell you the results..
holzer Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 i doubt you would get any use from it.. w2k3 has a network load balancing option but ive nevr seen it in xp.. you can choose which one takes precedence but that's about itps: pls correct me if im wrong, i have a laptop with integrated 11mbps and pcmcia 54mbit wlan, and for transferring large files i connect it to 100mbit lan.. and it's been getting on my nerve that i can't add up all the bandwidth..
