Problem With Keeping My File In A 200g Hd When I

my situation:

i want to reinstall my windows xp, and my 200G HD is slave drive and contain files

i have try a few times of installation before.

in the first time, when i finish setup, with no service pack, it shows around 120G, i have to reformat the hd with the "LifeGuard" disc it provide, and i lost alot of my old file that was in the drive

in my second time, i created two partition of 100G each, with files

and after i reinstall xp, with sp1 installed, one partion is fine, and another one cannot show some files, and i have to reformat the whole drive again... :no:

some of my files and folder name in the slave drive are not in english

can someone plz help

It's likely that the file directory is corrupt, having been given the run-around by windows about the size of the disk. Using the tools I linked to may be the only option.
