prathapml Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 How did you turn it off in the first place?gpedit.msc ?
Blyenth Posted February 10, 2005 Author Posted February 10, 2005 Yeah, I was working on unattended Win XP Pro CD using nLite. I didn't think I disabled the Windows Logo Key but I half did I guess? *shrugs* No big deal I just discovered the joy of Win Logo Key + E, etc. If however you know how to turn it back on that would be super.
xSource Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 Registry Settings System Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Keyboard Layout]Value Name: Scancode MapData Type: REG_BINARY (Binary Value)Value Data: 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 03 00 00 00 00 00 5B E0 00 00 5C E0 00 00 00 00This registry key disables the Windows key (according to http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/903/ and many other tweaking sites), so if you have it present in your registry, try removing it.Hope it helps .
Blyenth Posted February 10, 2005 Author Posted February 10, 2005 Awesome. I fixed it guys. Thank you so much. nLite was the problem...should read what I check off huh?
prathapml Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 Oh good. A tweak to disable the windows key - many have been looking for that. Now for something to disable the Ctrl-Alt-Del....
