Registry question

I have 2 questions about importing a registry.

1-when you import a registry into your computer, it will automatically delete the old one and import a new one OR it will OVERWRITE the old one with a new one.?

2- I notice there are default, system, and so on files in c:\windows\repair folder ( not sure the location) BUT the problem is these files are OLD. They are from WINXP.

how can i get default, system for WINXP SP2 so that i can prepare my winxp sp2 problem if i have any problem.?

A:

1- It will overwrite that KEY

2- Keep those files, they are needed when you want to restore some setting and KEYs.

Don't know that this applies totally to you, but Vilma auto-tracks any changes you make w/o any intervention on your part-- they're visible in its history pane, which has undo function....
