Why not boot abel after burn?

Featured Replies

I have made a Ua Windows it workes fine when i try to boot the "image" on my VM

but if i burn the Ua down on my dvd is it not boot abel!

How can this be?

I use Nero Relaoded and a 4,3 GB dvd

My WinXP Pro fills 1,4gb

I use msfn.org's program to make the iso

When you burn the ISO, make sure you select 'Tools > Burn Image' to select your ISO and not simply creating a data cd and copying the ISO file into it...

Are you positive you pc is set to boot from cdrom? Many are set to boot directly to your harddrive... you may have to go into your BIOS and change the boot order.

It is Virutal Machine I'm testhing it on! and yes it is set to boot from cd! because if i use deamon tools will it install just fine!

daemon tools has absolutely nothing do to with booting to a cd... what are you using for VM software? VMWare or Microsofts piece of crap?

Try burning to DVD at a lower speed.

I've seen that disks burnt at high-speed don't boot.

If u are using VM

I suggest that u follow this

http://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/windo...stream.asp#nero

with one exception u select Image Drive instead of your cd or dvd writer.

press burn

it wil ask u where u want to put the file

and what name and type nrg or iso

u decide

easy

Note: make sure that u have the microsoft image file if u dont

it wont boot for sure.

That dident worke eather!

I'm using a DVD-RW can that be the problem?

What mode are you buring it in? SAO, DAO, TAO? You must burn it in DAO mode to make it boot properly.

I ran into this problem before.
