sven Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 i ran the shareaza port setting thing that chesck your ports, i have no problem with ud, but a big one with tcp. i have teh windows firewall disabled, and my router has port forwarding on. it says the port is closed. it works if i check it with localhost. i put my computer as a DMZ and its still closed... i have no idea whats doing this in my computer.windows xp home sp2d-link 604 routerthanks
XtremeMaC Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 which port did u forward to your ip?and what exactly did u type in there?private port, public port? etc.. or a screenshot..
sven Posted January 26, 2005 Author Posted January 26, 2005 static ip on my computer, port 6346 tcp/udp (public and private) forwarded to 192.168.0.100.screenshot of router forwarding
XtremeMaC Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 hmm seems right what about shareaza? did u set the connection port to 6346? also maybe, i highly doubt so but maybe your isp blocked it or something i dunno u can always put another port in there, i don't have problem with shareaza but with torrent & azureus some servers don't accept the default 6881 port so i've changed it.. so u can always change the incoming port...
sven Posted January 27, 2005 Author Posted January 27, 2005 i had tried the changed port.. it was on 8008 before and i noticed tcp were closed also.... the thing is, when my router doesn't have the forwarding on, the port gives "stealth", but with forwarding, its closed... it cant be the router...
XtremeMaC Posted January 27, 2005 Posted January 27, 2005 (edited) i'm out of answers, sorry but check the wiki of shareaza, i'm pretty sure i've seen d-link in the guides..here for model 504 http://wiki.shareaza.com/static/FAQ.Firewa...rs.D-LinkDSL500 Edited January 27, 2005 by XtremeMaC
