prathapml Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 Its funny that I see this thread *JUST* after closing this tab - AllegroSurfInternet Sharing / Content Filter / Network Resource Management Proxy ServerControl and understand how your Internet connection is being used. Whether you need content filtering at a school or need to manage your company's bandwidth usage, AllegroSurf will save you time and money by helping you to control your valuable resources.Bandwidth and Usage Limits Availability Establish when a user or server is available. For example place a limit on a user to use the Internet during certain hours of the day only. Or create a limit for when web browsing is allowed.Inbound / Outbound Transfer Rates Do you have a user using more than his or her share of your bandwidth? Create a transfer rate limit restricting the transfer rate to a reasonable value.Inbound / Outbound Transfer Quotas Restrict how much total data your users can transfer in a given time period.Add limits for users, groups, or servers for bandwidth, transfer quotas or usage. Create any number of the following limits based on day of the week and time of day. Please post back on HOWZZAT!
XtremeMaC Posted January 25, 2005 Author Posted January 25, 2005 lol that's funny and hmm wierd anyways i'll try it thanks.
XtremeMaC Posted January 26, 2005 Author Posted January 26, 2005 allrightseems like a nice program i've tried it and its working nicely though it eats up 120mb of ram and 99% of my cpu sometimes, and i cannot afford that, so its bye bye to this program.
Astalavista Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 hehehheheee if u come up with something pls let me know as well
puntoMX Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 http://www.softpedia.com/get/Network-Tools...Controler.shtmlThis one?It uses like 1.5MB per system, but you have to install it on all computers. It’s password protected (even when you want to de-install it (although I think some one who knows how to use the reg. can by-pass it)) and you can control the bandwidth of EVERY program that is using the network (UP AND DOWN ).Edit: Why you have "Group: Dev. team" there, like I have "Group: Members" ? What is it for?
