I think that is just a simple popup blocker, I use it and I also use Adsgone to get the rest of the stuff it does not block. Works good for me.

The best ad blocker is AdMuncher. You can type in small scripts to prevent entire sections of useless images from showing up. That saves a LOT of bandwidth.
