Disable Fade Effect - Normal Smooth Edge

Hello!

I have a question, i've done a lot a search on this, and a lot a try.

I would like to know if someone has ever tweaked the "Display Properties" in the way that "Fade Effect" = Disable

And Smooth Edge = Normal

I know there is a key in HKCU\Control Panel\Desktop then UserPreferencesMask

I know this setting is saved as HEX.

On this site found while googling -->

UserPreferencesMask

They talked about this tweak. Seems that this tweak has to be edited in BINARY then ocnverted to HEX.

Ok this part i got it.

Now the part that i dont understand. I've set everything i wanted, exported my setting. So now, default user --> UserPreferencesMask=hex=30,20,05,80

The trick is, if a user logs on, those setting are overwriten with 3e,2c,05,80

Anyone has a clue on this one?

u need 2 apply them 2 all users, not just current user , apply them to default user too! or just import them during your unattended install @ T-12

make sure u are loading a .reg file instead of just that code in cmdlines.txt

Well... huh... i know how it works

And actually, it loads from a regedit /s regtweaks.reg

and yes the file contain my tweak inside....

And yes most of others tweaks works inside....

So did this work for your unattended install? Is the setting properly disabled for all users?

Yes the settings are applied for all user

But it's not the one that i want

Actually, having some problem tweaking the UsePreferenceMask the way i want it

It still reset the setting when loading the default user.

It maybe have dependencie...wich i dont know

use these at T12. dont try to understand it, as it isn't always logical but it "creates" exactly the settings you posted in the screenshot.
