OK... I finally decided to download and check out Firefox for the first time a couple minutes ago. It's pretty decent. I did figure out how to set the pages to tabs, but I have a question that maybe most people probably won't understand, but I have need for it....

Is it possible to setup Firefox to allow you to view multiple pages at the same time? Sorta like "tileing" the tabs? What I need is a horizontal split that allows you to view two pages at once. If not, does anyone know of any other browsers that support this?

Well, actually what you mean to say is not clear to me....

What you want is easily done with opera AND firefox/mozilla (but firefox is crappy because it is tiring to download a new extension for every **** thing you want to do - and god only save you when you want to install extensions unattended ).

sorry, my answer was about firefox, not opera.

Its easy for me as well.

And many more things might be easy for us, but the fact remains that for the normal person, firefox extensions unattended is a lot of bother. That's exactly the reason you had to make a guide for it - you wouldn't have made it if it had been easy.

With opera, its as simple as

a. IF MANUAL - look into the interface

b. IF UNATTENDED - configure it, then copy over the modified INI file on new install.

What would say was better though? Firefox or Opera?

It has the best of both worlds.

Far too many people chicken out of using it under 3 pretexts:

1. Its too difficult.

2. It has too many features.

3. They hate ads.

1. Nothing ever was easy - if it was easy for you then it has got to be easy to hack into you.

2. yes yes yes, and opera is a browser that "grows" on you - the more you use it, the more you appreciate its feature set.

3. either go buy it, or take the "dark path" for removing the ads (the ads actually are unintrusive, its only text ads, and its what helps opera to keep its browser suite freely downloadable).

Hmmm ok ill give it a try!
