Well here is my problem. When i try to burn a cd Nero tells me that i got a SCSI target error and the windows xp burner tells me that the burning process went wrong. The burner is okay, i've already tested it on another computer and it worked perfectly there. A person that i talked to says that it is a software error or something like that.......

make sure that the proper drivers for the burner are installed, you might need to manually install them... also, there might be an update out there pertinent to your problem, check out windows update...

3 Questions first:

1 Release number of Nero.

2 Brand and type of your CD-RW

3 How did you connect your CD-RW

After that, we can help you more ;)

1. Nero Express 5.5 something

2. NEC 1300A

3 The manufacturer did, not me. Ide connection. Tested it, so the burner ain't the problem.

Also: I've re-installed the entire thingy, did not help. Could it be the cable or the power?

Id try updating nero first then new firmware if available.

cable or thr power VERY VERY VERY unlikely, I have never ever ever seen that as a problem.

If that doesnt work throw away the POS and buy a new Liteon 16x Dual Layer for about 80$.
