aelfwyne Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 As my topic says - I can't access WPI.hta. I double click it, and it "runs", as in, I see the config wizard in my running processes, but nothing displays on-screen. It's completely invisible, and switch to front won't bring it up. I end up having to simply kill the process. What gives?
Astalavista Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 download the latest version of wpi from hasi homepageextract the zip filego to your wscript folder and grab your config.jsreplace the one from hasi file with that one
aelfwyne Posted January 19, 2005 Author Posted January 19, 2005 Now how would that help considering I *JUST* downloaded it from there less than 30 minutes ago?
Astalavista Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 I am sorry, i am trying to help u and u snap at me.good luck finding help
Girkers Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Whilst aelfwyne I don't have a solution for you I have experienced the exact same problem. I have dual monitors and what I have found is that if I double click ot open WPI on my secondary monitor it does exactly as you say.How I get around this is to have the folder open on my main display and then double click on WPI.Whilst I know this doesn't help much but it might be a little bit more info on what is occuring.
aelfwyne Posted January 19, 2005 Author Posted January 19, 2005 I do indeed run dual monitors - and clicked on the file in my secondary display. I will check later and see if it works when launched from the primary display. Thanks for a useful answer
aelfwyne Posted January 19, 2005 Author Posted January 19, 2005 I checked, and indeed dual monitors are the key to this problem. If WPI.hta is launched from a window on the secondary monitor, it will never show up. However, when it is launched from primary, it works fine.
Girkers Posted January 20, 2005 Posted January 20, 2005 I'm glad I could help. I don't beleive that this is a problem with hasi's code though, more a IE problem I feel.
Jordie Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 I had the same problem, thx for the help guys :>
Compboy Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 cool Thx guy's had the same prob. seems to be the case indeed with dual mon.
