How Disable CTRL-ALT-DEL and keep CTRL-SHIFT-ESC

How do disabled that Windows Security window when I push CTRL-ALT-DEL?

BUT I like to keep CTRL-SHIFT-ESC for the TASKMANAGER.

Is there some way to do that with a REG setting? I looked on the net AND in the forums here in MSFN but could not find any thing about it  .

Some one can help me with it?

Thanks in advance :)

I did it before on one of my systems but can´t remember how I did that. It´s redirected directly too the TASKMANAGER.

But lets see what other people say about it, thanx for the reply :) .

u can disable the ctrl+alt+del (task manager) by using group policy editor.

click run then type gpedit.msc - click administrative templates on user configuration - system - ctrl+alt+del - and disable remove task manager.

Play around group policy and explore the functions.. read the descriptions & its easy to use.U can also disable properties on desktop & toolbar using gpedit.

You should enable welcome screen in user options and then by pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL you'll jump into task manager..

It´s not the task manager that I like to disable. Also, there is no setting in GPEDIT.MSC. I have a PRO versions of XP but like to apply the settings by hand in the REG.. ;)

That´s also the way to do it in standard XP Home (Altrough it would be nice to play with GPEDIT.MSC first :) ).

There is a way to redirect the CAD keys to the taskmanager only. I already disabled "Change Password", "Lock Computer" and "Log Off" in that "Windows Security"-windows... but it would be nice if I only would get that task manager (I don´t like people play around change paswords or locking the system :})

Thanx for the replies.

That´s interesting. Let me try that.

Thanx :D

Edit: That works, but who likes that welcome screen ;). going to look for a reg-tweak that disables ONLY that WELCOM thingy. II need to find out what is changed in the REG so I can use it directly with an Unatended Install.

Thanx all for thinking with me, going to play around now :hello::yes:
