is there away to tell winXP cd to automatically select, format, and install winxp in C: drive.?

Yes. Winnt.sif file.

I used this before and it has not worked. This switch will work if you only have 1 drive in your computer.

i have 2 hard drives

HDD1: C, E

hdd2: D,F,G

your switch will not even format on the first partition winxp sees.
