December 29, 200421 yr Hey guys,First post I found this guide to making an unatended installation and it tells how to slipstream an sp into the cd files (http://www.pcstats.com/articleview.cfm?articleid=1703&page=3) but does anyone know how I can slipstream DirectX into it?Also, I was wondering how I could slipstream a hotfix in there, in particular the MSBlaster one...I tried to do both of them, using a modification of the method described at that link, but am unsure as to wether it worked....CheersHamstar
December 29, 200421 yr Author Namely, I did:update -u -n -o -z -q -s:D:\bootcd\workingunder which no window showed itself...dxsetup -z -q -s:D:\bootcd\workingin which the dxsetup came up, but it looked normal so I am unsure of whether it went to the right dir....oh whoops... I should have googled this first before I posted.... *searches google*
December 29, 200421 yr Author OK,Did a bit of reading...Saw that you have to use cmdlines.txt or some crap, cant be bothered doing that, so my question now is.... oh... the same...can i slipstream hotfixes and dx9 into the install like i have already done with SP4 (win2k)?
January 11, 200521 yr no way to slipstream DX9. You have to use cmdlines.txt to initiate normal DX installation during windows setup. You have to use the /opk switch for quiet installation. I've attached a cracked dxsetup.exe which accepts the /opk switch.Rename the dxsetup.txt to dxsetup.rar I succeeded into slipstreaming several hotfixes, but not all of them. for integrating I use XPCREATE. this is the bes soft for the purpose IMO.The rest of the hotfixes I start from cmdlines.txt with these switches: "/Q /N /Z"dxsetup.txt
January 11, 200521 yr download DirectX 9.0c Redistributableextract all filessimply use "dxsetup.exe /silent", it will install dx9 silently
January 11, 200521 yr http://unattended.msfn.orgRead that, then come back. It tells how to do hotfixes.
