Bâshrat the Sneaky Posted December 23, 2004 Posted December 23, 2004 Does anyone know where Logitech Setpoint Software saves its settings??I Found a file called "user.xml" in the application data folder...but when I delete it, the software still has its settings Probably the registry Use regshot/regsnap to find the settings!
Dynaletik Posted December 23, 2004 Author Posted December 23, 2004 I did that...but I only opened this topic because there is NO change in the registry...SetPoint saves it anywhere else...is there a tool to watch which files are changed???
Tsunami Posted December 23, 2004 Posted December 23, 2004 RegShot can track changes in both the registry and files.
Dynaletik Posted December 23, 2004 Author Posted December 23, 2004 OK, I'll give it a try when I am at home tomorrow....I'm at work atm...
Mekrel Posted December 23, 2004 Posted December 23, 2004 Would love to know the answer to this, I have also tried but to no avail.
Mekrel Posted December 25, 2004 Posted December 25, 2004 It is held within the registry...Modified keysHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\LMouKE\Parameters\CordlessOptical23\0000\MouseSpeedXNew: String: "18"Old: String: "25"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\LMouKE\Parameters\CordlessOptical23\0000\MouseSpeedYNew: String: "18"Old: String: "25"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LMouKE\Parameters\CordlessOptical23\0000\MouseSpeedXNew: String: "18"Old: String: "25"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LMouKE\Parameters\CordlessOptical23\0000\MouseSpeedYNew: String: "18"Old: String: "25"
Dynaletik Posted January 4, 2005 Author Posted January 4, 2005 The idea I first posted works perfect for me.Just copy your user.xml file from the application data folder on your new install and after the reboot Setpoint uses this settings.
