sven Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 i have a uninterupted power suply, and it beeps like every day cuz where having some small power surges when i open the lights. is it possible to stop the beeping?
XtremeMaC Posted December 21, 2004 Posted December 21, 2004 i experience this thing as well, i haven't done anything about it but i'll open it and remove the beeper from the ups, i don't think there is any other way.I frankyl don't understand why it beeps, i can easily understand when electricty goes, i don't have to be warned about it, and yes it might be done bc some ppl might prefer to "hear" the annoying beep to turn off their devices, but when u install the software to your comp it shuts it down.. so i think those ups manufacturers should at least put a switch to turn on/off the buzzzzzer!i've apc..
sven Posted December 21, 2004 Author Posted December 21, 2004 apc, same here. i couldn't find the buzzer last time i openned it. i did a test, and noticed that if you hold down the "no alarm" button, it wont start. so i put a paperclip inside connecting those 2 connections. works now.ps. simpler then removing buzzer if you know what your doing (unless theres just 1 cable to unplug)
