rick90210 Posted December 10, 2004 Posted December 10, 2004 Hi.I just got a 3.0E Ghz processor that I think it has HT. But, the box says Supporting Hyperthreading technology, and does have the orange stripes on the edge of the box, but no H T letters. Aslo, the P4 logo sticker doesnt have nor the orange stripes nor the HT letters. The Intel mainboard D865GLC reports HT and can be enabled, tough some gamers toldme to deactivate it before installing XP.So, Does this processor REALLY has Hyperthreading technology, or is it just a marketing scam to make people think they have ?
benners Posted December 11, 2004 Posted December 11, 2004 You can download a test util from Intels webpage here
