Alanoll
then, is there a way to modify it?there must be a way.the point of hex editing a file, is that the new information MUST be the same as the old. This is NOT stored as a resource string, so you can't edit it that way. One way to edit it is to use CDShell to make your own. Besides that, the string HAS TO BE THE SAME! totoymola
I think it can be longer, since the value of the digits after the sentence is zero all the way down. But I'm not sure.
Alanoll
I think it can be longer, since the value of the digits after the sentence is zero all the way down. But I'm not sure.after thinking through it a bit more....disassemble the BIN file, change the strange, make sure the syntax is correct, recompile. There ya go.The blanks afterwords could be where the actual boot code is, so you'll have to disassemle to find out, which is why when HEXing everything needs to be the same size, so as not to overwrite the actual code. Astalavista
does anyone what to rewrite the code? or make a tool to rewrite it or patch it.kind of bored with it already.
Alanoll
does anyone what to rewrite the code?I have to tools. Don't have the time.or make a tool to rewrite it or patch it.I guess after you have the assembly, you could open it up and then change it yourself, then run the compiler. Unfortunately you're not supposed to distribute the compiler.
Astalavista
can we called it something other than a compiler, what about a piledriver instead.
