Suggestions for free MS software AutoIt script

Featured Replies

Okay I'm looking at redoing my current AutoIt script that installs XP PowerToys to include a lot more free stuff from MS. So any suggestions along with links would be welcome. :)

Well here is what I'm looking at thus far:

The 3D Windows XP ScreenSaver is located at: [link]

The Winter Fun ScreenSavers are located at: [link]

The Windows XP Media Center Edition Screen Saver is located at: [link]

The below list of PowerToys For XP are found at: [link]

The below list of PowerToys For XP Tablet PC is located at: [link]

The Fun Packs are located at: [link]

The Windows Media Bonus Pack for Windows XP is located at: [link]

The Tablet PC Tools are located at: [link]

The Internet Downloads are located at: [link]

For most of these, auto-it scripts are not needed.

Just try extracting from the existing EXE, and run the MSI with "/QB" switch. If not, just dump the files (like .WMZ) in the appropriate places (in $OEM$ structure) directly. And some more of the packages will install via INF.

As for suggestions, how about WMP 10, the MCE_enhanced skin for it, and Photo Story 3! :D

Heh yeah I know they could be done differently. :)

Just most of the installs are simple cookie cutter style so I can reuse code a lot...so code wise it shouldn't be a big hassle.

Plus this should cut down on some of the work others would have to do. If the file exists then it gets installed...if it doesn't then it moves on to the next.

I'll see about adding those to the list...tho links are helpful...less time I spend hunting the sooner I get the script done. Not that there is any hurry...just my little kick I'm on right now. :)

im not a fan of all the xtra crap m$ has to offer (heck, even the stuff that comes on windows), But yea, If I had one suggestion to make it would be WMP10

prathapml,

Do you have a link to this skin?

MCE_enhanced skin
Do you have a link to this skin?

Its just a skin that is like an advertisement to MCE. So don't expect MCE features from it - download page

Thanks, I understand. I just wanted to see what that skin looked like - never heard of it.
