So in trying to troubleshoot this lockup issue Im having, I reverted back to an older version of my UA cd and found that it is using a different interface that the standard win installer...

This is how the old one looks...

I compared the winnt.sif b/t the two and didnt see any differnce. What setting do I need to change to get the installer to look like the standard look where it has all the items down the left hand side with the time remaining?

You probably activated the classic setup look option in nLite
