chyronn Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 hello, i'm having problems picking out the essential files for all of my motherboard's components i.e. USB2.0, gigabitLAN, Ultra ATA, RAID, etc. the install disk that came with my MB has a very nice and sleek GUI in that you pick what you want to install and it does it (it's a Gigabyte 8KNXP btw). now, since these drivers come in self extracting setup files...wouldn't it be easier to have them run just like normal apps as part of RunOnceEx?Thanx for any info
rockie Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 Those progs are bigger than driver files, I guess adding driver files is easier.
Bâshrat the Sneaky Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 And that method will make the Windows CD *very* system dependent... Well, you might don't care....
chyronn Posted November 8, 2004 Author Posted November 8, 2004 Thnx for the replies@ Rocky,i'm not starved for space, i can burn onto a DVD.@ Bashrat, what do you mean by making the window CD system dependent?
SiMoNsAyS Posted November 8, 2004 Posted November 8, 2004 @chyronn he wants to mean that you are going to install the drivers for a specific machine (for example catalyst drivers with a radeon card and creative drivers on an audigy card). also if you create setup.iss files you need to point the dir (being path dependant).
