betaluva Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 if you want to hack a 16bit file use exescope, seach google for a download link.
brucewong Posted November 1, 2004 Author Posted November 1, 2004 That really does that kind of job? Thanks and i will try it!
brucewong Posted November 1, 2004 Author Posted November 1, 2004 Man,it doesn't do anything good to Ghost.I tried and it said this is 16 pe file when i drag the norton ghost in it!
brucewong Posted November 1, 2004 Author Posted November 1, 2004 Sure man i know that, but i really want some tools, ways to rehack the ghost i loved so...addin,my own stuff on it.
MCT Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 http://google.com try there try something like "dos reshack"
brucewong Posted November 1, 2004 Author Posted November 1, 2004 I am sure that i know that ,but i just need a method to rehack the ghost, adding some my own stuff on it.
htc Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 for dos application there is no such gerneric tool like resource-hacker etc. Most menus/tables were hardcoded! You cannot change the look except you have the source code and can recompile it. So without the cooperation of symantec programmers you've got a lost case.Upto v8.05 there is a chance to change the splash picture at the beginning - the files with filename extension .pqg(=pqmagic.pqg) is in fat a .bmp file, so I see your only chance is to replace it with your own. But take attention to the hor.&verti. mirrored image!
