Where do I put in hotfixes that that have these switches

/S /qn

/quiet /norestart

Also do I put the Windows XP pre Sp1 in FilesCD and XPSP2 in SPacks of the CD I got from MS?

Also is the boot.bin the boot image (duhh) ?

What if I have drivers that demand an .iss file to install silently ? :hello::(:thumbup

Welcome, RBCC, to MSFN!

I'm ignoring the new switches: I liked the old ones fine. Basically, the blue and white iconed hotfixes go in SVC-HF1, the others go in SVC-HF2. I mean, it isn't exactly rocket science, but it works for me.

Not sure what the CD you have from Microsoft is, so I don't know.

Some people do name the boot image boot.bin. Personally, I name it XPCTBOOT.BIN.

Don't know about .ISS files: they are not used by Microsoft for updates/fixes.

Hi GM :hello:

I'm coming back to make a XPCREATE CD starting from WIN+SP2, but I've still problem with WMP10 ("/DisallowSystemRestore " doesnot seem to work, Win asked me the question, and CDBURN doesnot want to burn my DVD: but, that's for later this week.

Yes, certainly, you can use this image ;)

ps: I was never away, and has always an eye openned and looking at your threads.
