Hi, I am setting up a PC for my neighbour and have created users for the husband and one for the wife. But i am the admin and i dont want that to show up at login time.

Is it possible to remove the admin from the regular user login screen?

You could try this ...

System Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\SpecialAccounts\UserList]

Value Name: Administrator

Data Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value)

Value Data: (1 = show Administrator, 0 = hide Administrator)

So, use this setting instead ...

System Key: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]

Value Name: DontDisplayLastUserName

Data Type: REG_DWORD (DWORD Value)

Value Data: (1 = remove username)

double ctrl alt del will show up the classic login when you are looking at the welcome screen

Well remembered tacitus85, I forgot all about that little trick! :w00t:

EDIT: all that reg tweak does is to force you to type in your username and password.

double ctrl alt del will show up the classic login when you are looking at the welcome screen
