Windows Update Bug in 1.6.2

Featured Replies

If you have problem with Windows Update after installing version 1.6.2, you must run these commands (from Start-Run):

regsvr32 wintrust.dll

regsvr32 cryptdlg.dll

regsvr32 rsaenh.dll

  • 3 weeks later...

That fixed the problem straightaway. I'm very happy with the service pack and I would like to make a donation but could I use PayPal?

Sorry, but Paypal doesn't support Turkey.

But if you want, you can send me a gift certificate via Amazon.com or Amazon.co.uk. Links are at my web page.

I'm getting a windows update error after installing 1.6.2 that isn't fixed by the solution above...

Windows Update Error

Windows Update has encountered an error. This may be due to a discrepancy in your computer's time setting.

To check your date and time setting:

On the taskbar, double-click the time.

Verify that the date and time is correct.

You can also get online support if you are having problems with Windows Update.

Send error number to Microsoft (0x800C0008)

Note This sends error information but does not create a support incident; you may or may not receive a response.
