Saving my Windows XP ---> "Folder View"

Featured Replies

Hey guys!

Here is a screen shot of my folder view:

Everytime I reinstall windows I have to set it back to look like that.

I was wondering if it was possible to save this folder view in a reg file and just run it when I reinstall.

I need it to save the buttons, toolbars, size, and all.

Hope there is a way, it would really help out.

thanks.

I'm not sure but try this:

Open regedit and save these strings as a reg:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar\ShellBrowser]
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar\WebBrowser]

This also saves your IE toolbar configuration. I'm not sure if the "list view" is saved as well.
