Wedge1 Posted October 23, 2004 Posted October 23, 2004 I'm now sure if I am supposed to safe it like this:"winnt.sif"or like this:winnt.sif
Wedge1 Posted October 24, 2004 Author Posted October 24, 2004 So when I save it, it simply becomes a text file?? Just rethinking this as I cannot get the winnt.sif file to work at all. If I don't use quotes, it becomes a text file. It's kind of like Quake configs, if you create a config.cfg file you must use quotes "configname.cfg" for it to save as a .cfg file; otherwise it will become a text file with the name configname.cfg
Tsunami Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 Well, I don't know about Quake-configs, but it doesn't matter if you use quotes or not. Just make sure you set Save As Type to All Files, and then type winnt.sif in the File Name box.Edit: I just tested it, and you're right. If you use quotes it won't add the .txt extension. So you can either use quotes, or do what's above
jrzycrim Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 If you have "Text Documents (*.txt)" selected for the Save as type, then you need to use quotes around the filename or it will be saved as a .txt file. If you select "All Files" then the quotation marks are not necessary.
