Halzions Posted October 23, 2004 Share Posted October 23, 2004 when i start up my friends labtop a error comes up saying the file \windows\system32\config\system is missing or corrupt ive reformated it and everything but after a day or 2 it comes back up and wont let me get any farther windows wont even start up.- Please Help! MHz Posted October 23, 2004 Share Posted October 23, 2004 If this is continuous. Faulty hardware may be the problem. Give it a good run with memtest86 to check the ram. I had to replace a mainboard on the last pc that kept currupting files and was becoming unbootable. Process of elimination is the way to go.
