Hello everyone, i've been following the threads in this incredible forum for a while now and i'm slowly building my knowledge about unattended installs and app switches etc.

so far i've slipstreamed SP2 into XPPro and was thinking of installing it on a formatted HD but i kept reading about how the members on here were testing out their switches and ironing out bugs in their runonce and winnt.sif files, and it made me wonder: is there any way of actually just testing the winnt.sif and runonce.cmd files or do i have to use VMWare or VPC with an .iso or a burnt copy of XP?

i know installation of XP can only take about 20mins on my machine but having to do all that and to find a stumbling block at the last hurdle is a pain in the rear end.

Any relevant help would be greatly appreciated.

you could run your runonceex.cmd and check for the entries in the registry, but be sure to delete them afterwards

i dont think there's much else you can do
